Starting in 2021, we are welcoming soloists, ensembles, and composers looking for a chance to record a music video with Blank House Media free of charge.* We believe that documentation is an opportunity for expression, and our mission is to create recordings of new or under-recorded works that fully realize the artistic vision of the composers and ensembles. The videos will be workshopped and produced in close collaboration with the composers and ensembles. There are no limitations on style, genre, or other aesthetic concerns. We want to help your hard work come to life.

Blank House Media acknowledges the seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic. Given the likelihood of this continuing into 2021, we are looking to record groups up to 6 members maximum. For this project, the Blank House Media team will consist of two members, keeping the total number of workers in a space to 8 or under. Our goal is to provide a safe and efficient recording environment without sacrificing the quality of the final product. More details will be discussed with accepted ensembles on a situational basis.

Blank House Media will select 2 projects to produce. Depending on the strength of the application pool, more winners may be selected. Recording times will be scheduled on a project-to-project basis between February and April 2021.

*Winners of this competition will receive our full music video production services free of charge. Our services include audio recording, editing, mixing and mastering, along with video recording, editing, and producing. If the performing ensemble is not able to provide a space for recording, members may be asked to provide funding for rental spaces. Some financial support is available to help with these costs. We are aiming to keep the costs as low as possible for the performers to help facilitate the creation of works for under-represented groups and composers.
